What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy being able to work with someone and see them beginning to understand something they hadn't before! The pride and accomplishment in their faces as they gain confidence within themselves and their growing skills is an immeasurable kind of happiness, and I want to help kids reach that goal.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm incredibly patient and gentle, and understand that everyone learns in different ways and at at different paces. I refuse to let students feel like they're silly for not knowing something, or that they're incapable, and I have the determination to find the best way for someone to learn that fits their own needs rather than my own. Students need to be believed in, and I refuse to let anyone feel hopeless.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To understand that not every brain is the same; people aren't 'one size fits all' when it comes to learning, and you can't expect to mould a student to fit your learning expectations. Instead, a tutor needs to be flexible enough to fit the student's needs and goals. A depressed student will need something different from an autistic student, who will need something different from a neurotypical student and so on. We should be learning about our students in order to create a study goal that works for them.
