What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I've always loved helping those around me and it has always been a rewarding feeling for me. What I'd like to get out of this role is using my love for maths and my experiences that I've gained throughout the years to help mentor those younger than me. I'd love to get to know my students and watch as the learn and grow to love the subject, and hopefully watch their excitement as their grades increase.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm quite calm and soft spoken so I believe I'd create a welcoming environment for my students. I also believe that I'm quite empathetic, understanding and observant, so I'd be able to easily connect with those I'm tutoring and work out the best way to get them to easily understand the topic. After helping my friends with school or uni work, I'm often told that I explained it in a very easy to understand way, and I believe this kind of trait would be very beneficial for my tutoring.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I would consider the most important thing to be understanding that each student is different. The ultimate goal of tutoring is to help the student improve their understanding of the subject and improve their grades, however each students minds work differently, so the teaching method that might work for one student may not necessarily work for another. I think developing a teaching method that best works for each individual student is an important aspect when it comes to tutoring, and is one that teachers may not necessarily be able to always provide due to class sizes.
