- Observant and strong attention to detail - Excellent listening skills - Good use of analogies to simply difficult concepts - Uses non-traditional ways of teaching English (e.g. using analogies, color-coding essays, student-led learning) - Actually understands how subjective English is and how teachers love to beat around the bush when giving feedback.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

- Helps student formulate a strong study plan for English which includes identifying areas of strength and weaknesses so they don't run around in circles during examination time - Gives reliable and in-depth feedback especially during assessment deadlines - Help students find their own style of writing and personal voice - To be able to help the student tackle stress that may hinder their wellbeing and enjoyment of English - Help build confidence in students so they can establish a strong foundation as they enter the HSC - Make sure students get their money worth
