What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
When I tutored my brother and my peers, it felt fulfilling to share my knowledge with others and seeing them grow. Having a part to play in a student's academic success is what I enjoy most about tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength lies in assessing a student and finding a tutoring method that is tailored specifically for them. For example, I realized my brother preferred the "teacher as a facilitator" style to the lecture-style learning. He enjoys critical thinking and for this reason, I adapted to this method and since then, he has vastly improved academically.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor should take responsibility for helping students perform well academically. This is achieved through developing a strong relationship with the student ensuring the one-on-one sessions are productive. Additionally, tutors should identify students’ individual learning needs and discuss the students’ progress with their parents/guardians.

About Brian
Background
I’m Brian, a Graduate Engineer with a strong academic foundation in Mathematics and Physics. Having successfully completed my engineering degree and studied Methods and Specialist Maths through Year 11 and 12, I understand the concepts students find most challenging and how to explain them in a clear, practical way.
Tutoring Approach
My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, step-by-step problem-solving, and developing confidence to handle both classroom work and exams. I tailor sessions to each student’s needs—whether it’s catching up on basics, improving grades, or pushing for top results.
Beyond Tutoring
Outside of engineering and teaching, I am a competitive powerlifter. Training at a high level has taught me discipline, goal setting, and persistence—qualities I bring into my tutoring to help students stay motivated and achieve their best.
