What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love tutoring having the fact that I have made a significant impact in their learning. One of the joys I love about tutoring is seeing my students who dislike mathematics or science growing to enjoy it and achieve well in their results. I also love tutoring because it gives valuable experience in my future profession as a teacher giving me the skills required in the field.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have great communication skills which is essential for a tutor. Over the years of tutoring I have learnt to ask deeper questions to my students to understand the barriers within their learning and how to rectify their gaps of knowledge. I also aim to make learning fun instead of using rote learning processes and textbook work. Although these can be helpful to a degree I believe when my students are enjoying the subject this will result in them getting better results. I am also a very outgoing person and love getting to know new people and making them feel comfortable having me as a tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think an important role tutor must be able to do is to be able to adaptable in their teaching style to cater to the needs of students. Additionally being relatable and exploring how this knowledge can be expanded to world wide applications. I believe tutors need to make strong relationships with both students in order for them to feel comfortable in order for them to seek help or ask the questions they are afraid of asking. Tutors also must have strong knowledge of their subject area but also need to harness the ability to communicate this effectively from student to student.
