What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

(a) I enjoy subject matter discussions with my students when I am teaching. Not only the theory aspect, but helping them to connect the dots, how the theory can or should be used in the real world. I have been working as an Analyst for a number of years now; and I have many practical real-life stories; it is easy for me to explain when, why and how to use maths in real-world.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor are; I have very high level of patience, I am a great listener and very passionate about sharing my knowledge. No doubt I have passion for numbers. Other than that, I am very empathetic when it comes to sensing someone through their gestures or tone. I can sense when someone is shying or not been able to ask questions. Motivating people and making them realise their potential are a major characteristics of me as a person.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing is giving your student a safe space by listening and understanding them. Then building trust is next part of the equation. If a tutor is able to achieve above, students freely ask questions and share their weaknesses. Because they know they will not be judged for what they do not know and you as a teacher there to help or guide them! It works in any situation. Even when you are managing a team of adults in a billion dollar organisation!
