What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The satisfaction of seeing the student(s) progress - and also being challenged myself, to ensure that everything I am teaching is clear and with attention to detail.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I feel that I am good at establishing a sincere and honest rapport with my students, which helps to build a solid working / study relationship. And that I am good at presenting things in creative ways for my students, allowing them to think for themselves more.
(For this reason, I opted not to select grade 11 and 12 to tutor because when it comes to SACE - it is a little more by-the-book and procedure based with strict criteria to meet. For foreign students, however, needing ESL English help - I'd be fine with that).
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
First and foremost, for the student to improve his/her results in school. And beyond that, to get them to enjoy what they're doing (at least somewhat) - and push them into thinking creatively and originally. Also important, is to encourage and emphasize how what they're learning, will be relevant and useful in their day-to-day lives.
