What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy most when students gain the realisation of understanding how to solve a problem they had been struggling with. I believe that knowledge is a key to many locked doors and I enjoy sharing that key. I know that there's more to tutoring than just teaching. I like that each student is unique in their own way and I enjoy exploring their personality in order for me to help them.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As a tutor, my strengths are:
1. Patience - I am patient as I know everyone learns differently at their own pace.
2. Self-disciplined - After serving 3 years in the Australian Air Force Cadets, I have sharpened my personality. I am punctual and I am able to follow my schedule plan.
3. High flexibility - Not everything goes according to plan and therefore I as a tutor, I must be able to shape, adapt and compromise.
Most important things I can do for a student π
1. In-depth interview - A tutor must know the background of the student to gain an insight into a student's strengths and weaknesses.
2. Developing suitable learning styles - A tutor should identify the studentβs learning styles so that they are able to teach in a way that has the greatest effect.
3. Teaching the basics - It is important that a tutor could fill the foundation of certain knowledge.
4. Boosting student's confidence - The capabilities of a student is determined by their confidence. Therefore, a tutor should help students achieve their maximum capabilities.
