What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy seeing the moment when the penny drops for my student, when they begin to understand something that they’ve been struggling with, so that they can then progress forward. I love being able to put my knowledge to use in making a difference, to contribute to a student’s education, watching them make improvements and succeeding in their academic goals.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Patience - I have learned to be patient with students when they don't understand a concept. I can break down concepts to the basics and explain each step to them. A good comprehension of the subject matter at hand, and a genuine care about whether the student leaves the lesson understanding the topic. As well as an enthusiasm for the subjects, since I have enjoyed Maths and Science for as long as I can remember.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Create a safe, encouraging environment in which a student can feel comfortable to ask questions and learn to work through problems without the fear of failure. With time and patience, my aim is to strive towards increasing the student’s confidence, help them understand core concepts, so they are able to be independent learners. This will assist them to develop the tools to become self-reliant, and encourage them to open up their minds to start thinking on their own.
