The most important thing a tutor can do is engage and motivate a student for learning. Tutors are necessary in order to push a student to the best of their ability and help them gain maximum knowledge. To be able to understand how a students' mind works is equally as important and then change your teaching style according to their needs to provide maximal result. Furthermore, encouraging students to ask queries and questions and not shy away from difficult questions is crucial too to enhance their analytical skills.
