I have developed communication skills since I started mentoring others. I think it is of great importance so I have practised speaking to make it become my strength. No matter how knowledgeable I am, I might not explain the knowledge clearly to students if I lack communication skills. Thanks to it, my mentees are willing to express their problems and engage in the tutor session with me. In addition, I am creative in ways to gain students' interest in their study. As a student, I know a student who has difficulty in studying might feel sad and helpless. Hence, we need to empathize with their feelings first, then boost their confidence and passion for learning by giving the questions that they can answer, showing them amazing knowledge and their application in real life.
