What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is the impact I have on a student's life. The influence that I make on a student is a rewarding feeling and goes beyond the subjects that they are learning. Making connections and seeing students grow and become more confident can boost their self esteem outside of school, where they can be directed to the path of success. I like to share with them my knowledge, skills and encouragement all whilst altering each method of teaching in a way they can comprehend and understand. Tutoring also allows me to develop in my problem solving and creativity skills.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My three best strengths as a tutor would be my communication, motivation and adaptability. Growing up, I struggled to learn many concepts as english is my third language. It took a teacher with great communication (visual and verbal) and adaptability to help me grow as a young student who had given up, into a motivated and enthusiastic peer with a love of learning and expanding on my knowledge. This required patience and drive, which are skills I would implement in my tutoring role.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to identify their learning style to offer their knowledge in the most effective way possible. Speaking with both the parents and the student is also of paramount importance in order to discover any strengths and weaknesses, as well as special needs. Lastly, a good connection with a student can have a significant impact on their learning. Tutors must be compassionate and understanding whilst keeping everything professional and well organised.
