Content covered so far is fine for her except one of the questions in the exercise book that needed some more insight, where I could not provide as when I study, the knowledge of that was not included. However, upon looking through some working I came up with a step to step solution. I will send that to your daughter through gmail. She is doing fine with polynomial graphing and long division. Although remainder theorem and factor theorem are very similar, but after I explained it she understands when to use different theorems and long division.

Don't forget to check your answers especially the in long division as it is a rigorous process. She has improved a lot! Keep doing what you are doing!! Enjoy your summer!

We did a bit of practice on the maths book and covered expanding brackets and simplifying. This also consists of grouping like terms, something that we covered in previous lesson. I believe she needs a little bit of practice on expanding and simplifying.

Pre learning (Factorizing) new topics to get a head start. Also polynomial is a topic that really needs some practice on as in later years the knowledge from year 10 will be required.

We went through logarithm laws/rules and use multiple of rules to solve some equations. Implementing all the rules leaernt to find the unknown. We also did solving by log base 10. I believe she is quite confident in them. Introducing her to polynomials how to differetiate between linear, constant, quadratic, ccubi and quartic. Started solving some core questions of polynomials.

Start to pre learn new topics to get a head start when learning things new in lesson so there will be more time to revise.

She did alright on the test, and reviewed on some questions that she had done wrong. She understood some questions but didn't pay attention to detials when doing the test. However, it is good that she understand what I said because this shows that she knows how to do them. Since logarithm was intorduced recently there wasn't any material to work on, other than helping her solidify the basics.

Try out more pass papers, find patterns in test problems/ passpaper solutions. Keep practicing as I know she had improved a bit!
