What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Building relationships with students and watching them thrive. I remember being a little kid and having to work hard through trial and error with every subject because I wasn't in the position to receive tutoring, but I think this allowed me to develop easier methods to find answers and explain difficult concepts in digestible amounts. I'm happy to see my kids bypass that trial and error stage and just go straight into pure learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Empathy, patience, assertive, challenging, rewarding, and attentive. I believe that these are all qualities that a teacher/mentor should have in order to facilitate productive and healthy learning. Being in the health industry, I have picked up and worked on most of these qualities along the way.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Be there to challenge them but more importantly encourage them. Some of the most admirable teachers that I've had in school were the ones that understood me individually as a student, and did not just base their attitude towards me based on the mark I received.
