What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing that I enjoy most about tutoring the most is the proud moment that the students have when my students and I get through a hard concept or question together and they have fully understood and are now able to solve questions that they weren't able to do before. As my personal wishes are that students understand before they solve, it is always relieving to see that my explanation and help has actually boosted their skills. I enjoy that satisfaction like when I am studying, I believe that it is that moment of satisfaction and pride that keeps the students motivated to study.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor include my high academic skills in Math and English, especially with math as I have gotten a band 6 for advanced mathematics in HSC, and further scored a high result for mathematics extension 1. Hence I am able to provide students with sufficient knowledge. I have resilience and patience, always maintaining a positive attitude to provide students with a comfortable learning environment. I am able to work with flexibility, so that I am able to help students who struggle to concentrate or whose emotions seem to shift so that they are still able to study.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that the most important thing as the tutor is to let the students fully understand the concept that is being taught before letting them solve any questions. Not just helping them to understand the concept but the ways to apply that knowledge to a question, as in school you are briefly taught the concept and in most cases left alone to figure out how to solve questions themselves. Furthermore, it is important to control compliments and words of advice, as students need the balance of both to keep them motivated. Hence personally I strive to achieve that balance when teaching.
