What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the interpersonal and self-learning aspect of tutoring. I enjoy holding meaningful conversations and grasping a greater grip on the content that I am teaching - I advocate that teaching something is the best way to learn it. Learning also comes from being able to witness a problem from children's fresh eyes. Even something as objective as Math can be realised in different manners - tough to put objectively into words, it just so happens to be an enlightening feeling. There's also a sense of cautioned pride in knowing that I am directly influencing a child's future character.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have excellent communication skills and am extremely adept at sensing inconveniences around me. I like including students in conversations and making them feel comfortable before initiating a class to make sure that there's a feedback loop in place to help me know if the student did not understand anything. My secondary strength is genuine admiration for subjects that I've listed my interest in teaching. I want to share that interest with my students - or anyone willing to hear me talk.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Frankly, needless to say being a good tutor primarily stipulates teaching content in a way that makes it easier to understand. Hence, by default that does become the most important thing a tutor can do for a student. This pursuit can be undertaken via a range of supplementary actions such as engaging classes, use of props, and more. But in doing so, if a tutor can enhance morality of their students simultaneously - I think that's the cherry on top.
