What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The 'ah' moments, when we discuss a maths concept that underpins others they already know, and suddenly it makes logical sense. I also enjoy being a positive role model for my students: someone they feel comfortable to come to for advice about university or ATAR subjects, or work post-school.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Being able to re-frame a topic in order for my student to understand it. I aim for my students to understand the 'why' behind the maths that we do in order for it to make sense, be easier to recall, and more enjoyable than memorisation.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that being able to work with the student so that they can make the most out of every session is so important. Some of my students, who only have tutoring due to their parents intervention, started as reticent and uninterested. It is my goal to encourage the student to have a greater confidence and understanding about the maths we do, and continue to revise topics from earlier in the year that they may have forgotten, so they feel that everything they learn is important.Tutoring students in 👦 👧
