What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy seeing the student truly understand something and engage with it on their own terms. I think a really important part of learning is processing information in your own way, so you don't just superficially memorise something, but rather actually understand it on its fundamental basis. Seeing this happen for students is extremely gratifying and I genuinely love it.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths are that I understand what it is like to struggle, having being diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year, school was not easy for me. However, I persevered, and I think this is a really valuable trait for a tutor to have because many naturally academically competent tutors will not understand where their student is coming from and perhaps get frustrated. Despite these challenges, I got through school with good marks, and I believe I am a good candidate to help other people do that too.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To give them confidence and make them feel good about themselves. There is nothing more counter-productive than making a student feel disheartened and bad about themselves, since self-doubt yields anxiety and often poor performance in exams. Establishing a basis of trust is vital for the success of the student, so that they feel in a safe space to truly learn.

Molar masses will likely need to be revisited as they have not been properly covered in class yet, so revisiting after they have been will help to consolidate the topic.
