What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
Tutoring is a job where you decide the direction of your role. There is no one looking over your shoulder and there is no one holding your hand. This independence really does help develop your problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills. Not to mention, the flexibility of tutoring means you can balance your commitments if anything else in life comes up. As a tutor, you have the power to decide what to do with your responsibility.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
Motivation
Adaptability: No single learning style fits every student
Patience. Working through struggles requires patience. ...
Enthusiasm. Tutors need to be excited about learning and have a passion for it
Empathy
Communication
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The tutor should develop good listening skills so that they will better understand studentsโ misconceptions and errors.
The tutor should ask good, open-ended questions in order to evaluate a studentsโ understanding.
Never act annoyed that the student does not know something. Even if they ask the most basic question, always demonstrate your patience.
