What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping others achieve their potential. Helping someone improve their marks and self-confidence in the subject is a satisfying process, one that benefits both people. Also, knowing that you've put all your effort into achieving a goal and having it pay off is an incredible feeling.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have strong social and interpersonal skills which allows me to effectively communicate with the student. Also, because of this, I am often able to tell when a student is confused with an explanation or certain part of a solution despite them claiming that they understand it, in which case, I will go over it again or write up a simpler question with uses a similar explanation. I have extensive knowledge in mathematics, having studied and done well in the higher level of mathematics in both high school and university which allows me to teach my thought process for all questions.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Being both supportive and empathetic are important. Encouraging a student and not making a huge deal about mistakes while congratulating correct responses builds a student's self-confidence which makes them perform better overall and develop a liking for the subject. Also, being understanding when the student struggles to perform when facing more challenging questions or learning new content is important so that the student does not feel a lack of confidence moving forward.
