What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
I enjoy getting to know each individual that I tutor, and the process of learning about how they learn in order to prepare the best lesson possible suited for them. Another part of tutoring that I truly enjoy is the progression that occurs from the start to the end with each tutee, where I can watch their gradual improvement in learning habits and grades.
My Strengths as Tutor
My main strength as a tutor is being able to relate to each student that I tutor, so that I can find a way to get sometimes complex material across to them in an easily understood way. Another strength I have is patience, as I understand that tutoring is not an immediate process and that it takes time for the student and I to work together to build cohesion.
Most important things I can do for a student
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be able to figure out the learning style that suits each student best and cater their lesson to that learning style in order for the student to get the most of each lesson. This is definitely easier said than done, and as a result it also takes patience on behalf of the tutor to create such cohesion while keeping the student's spirits and motivation level high.
