What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the overall experience of being a mentor. I relish the feeling of accomplishment that comes from imparting knowledge to a student and seeing significant improvement. The best experience of tutoring for me was seeing a student who was struggling in mathematics overcome their confidence issues and was willing to tackle more difficult problems alone.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I consider one of my greatest strengths as a tutor to be understanding the student. This means that I understand that different students have different attitudes towards learning and I try to appeal to different students in different ways. This understanding enables me to act in a way that encourages learning but also allows me to provides a constructive criticism that promotes improvement. I also consider my ability to simplify the complexity of more difficult problems in a way that the student can understand to be one of my greatest strengths.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think it is extremely important for a tutor to approachable for a student. This means that the tutor exerts a relative level of authority but the student also feels like they are in a safe, nurturing learning environment. A tutor's job is to awaken the student's hunger for learning to allow them to reach their full potential. I also feel that a tutor should have a passion for their chosen subjects. By having this passion, it can awaken a similar passion in the student, enhancing their learning and allowing them to reach their full potential.
