What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring for me is the ability to see a students skills and expertise grow throughout the course of lessons. Watching them develop skills and feel confident in areas that they used to struggle is a rewarding experience as a tutor. In addition, to teaching subjects and course material, I enjoy how students are able to learn important skills such as time management and public speaking, skills that are transferrable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength is adapting lessons and course materials based on the students skill set. It is important to understand that not all students can pick up content quickly. Therefore, adjusting to their skills and ensuring that they understand before I move on is a strength. My communication skills are a strength, where I ask relevant questions and can engage with my class really well. Simply putting up notes is not apt, rather, engaging in the course material through interactive concepts is a strength. Another strength is asking students to explain the concept to me to test their understanding.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is listening to a student and truly understanding their strengths and weaknesses. This will ensure that the lesson is tailored for their own needs and maximum benefits are gained. Moreover, if a student does not understand a certain concept, explaining it to them in a different manner is really important.
