What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

As a maths tutor, I find it rewarding to help students reach their academic potential. Many of the talented students I work with lacked proper guidance, but I can see their abilities and confidence grow as I provide them with support. By tutoring, I also refine my own teaching skills and feel a sense of purpose in helping students become well-educated and motivated individuals. Watching my students progress not only in maths, but also in self-directed learning, inspires me to be a better learner and teacher, making a meaningful impact on their lives.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My ability to teach and support students from diverse backgrounds is one of my most valuable skills. I use customised teaching methods for each student and have experience teaching various subjects and standardised tests. I enjoy linking maths concepts to their applications in other subjects and industries, especially in the natural sciences and new technologies. I am also fluent in both Korean and English, which helps international students overcome language barriers. I prioritise breaking down complex concepts into simpler forms from the student's perspective.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

As a tutor, I think the most important thing I can do for my students is to empower them with effective learning strategies and boost their confidence and motivation. It's crucial not to judge their abilities based on their immediate test results. I will also take the responsibility of providing constructive feedback to both students and parents and delivering it in a positive and encouraging manner. Above all, helping the student achieve their goals is my top priority.
