I am good at explaining complex things in simple ways. Using analogies, imagery or just describing the concept in simple terms. I have struggled with maths in the past so I know how frustrating this subject can be. This struggle has made me hyper aware of how accessible my descriptions of maths concepts are. I truly believe maths is for everyone! It just has to be explained patiently in a consumable and energised way.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I strongly believe self confidence is the best motivation, so making students feel safe, not intimidated and reaffirming that they are on the right path is all super important. Tutoring also allows you to be a relaxed support system for a student who might not be getting it in other ways.

Orlah seemed a little distracted but I think this is just because she's finding the work a little easier and doesn't need full attention. Going forward I think we can amp up the level and pace a bit.
