What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy watching students grow more confident and proficient in their abilities over time. Seeing them gradually rely less on help and develop their independence is incredibly satisfying.
Tutoring also provides me with an opportunity to grow my own communication skills. It challenges me to bridge gaps between others and explain things in a meaningful and digestible manner. These processes are both fulfilling and inspiring.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe one of my biggest strengths is my ability to empathize with students who need extra help. I've personally struggled with my own schooling and relied on tutors in the past. This make me more understanding and patient when working with students.
I take time to listen carefully, and break down problems into manageable steps and guide students towards solutions. My background and a former student teacher has provided me with valuable teaching experience, as well as strong organizational and planning skills.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do is provide personalized support that caters to a studentβs unique needs, helping them build confidence and deepen their understanding of the subject.
Itβs equally important for tutors to create a safe and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and never feel lesser for needing additional help outside of school.
