Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Albion biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Albion, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Harry should practice back checking as he often makes simple calculation errors, such as 60 - 43 27. In addition, writing down his working out on paper will help him keep track of where he is up to in the question and reduce the chance of making simple errors.
Ruby is always positive, and goal oriented in her approach to maths and tutoring. Ruby puts in a great deal of effort to ensure she understands the maths problems at hand and ensure she gets good results. Ruby is highly organised and tidy in her maths study.
We are still working on problem solving worded questions, hopefully through introducing regular tests we can help with that. Being able to apply previous knowledge to solve worded questions.
