Most students approach learning biology like any other subject. They know the basics, what to do and what to avoid, and truth be told, in most cases it's enough to pass the tests. Most students approach learning biology like any other subject. They know the basics, what to do and what to avoid, and truth be told, in most cases it's enough to pass the tests.
Science subjects, and especially biology, can be tricky though. More often than not, students will need a push - just a little bit of guidance to get the most out of their learning.
We work with many Alison biology tutors and most have a story or two about student hiccups. Sometimes it's silly mistakes and other times just a lack of consistency - simple details that could have saved them time and energy. Never skip your lab notes! tutors find themselves reminding students over and over. Yet most tend to forget them.
Tutors we work with are there to help out with homework, revising, getting ahead or solving advanced problems - whatever your child needs. And they are available within a day or two. All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you.
We figure out what kind of support your child needs and organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Alison. On top of that, we keep things simple and convenient. There are no extra fees or hidden charges, just a simple hourly rate.
Last but not least, to make sure you and your child really like the tutor - the first lesson comes as a free trial and with a money-back guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Ris is good at talking aloud about what he is thinking and planning. He puts pen to paper well allowing visual demonstrating about his thought process. More effort is needed with back checking and double checking answers as there are regular small errors made with simple calculations.
needs to improve on completing homework, taking notes in class and progressing his own learning. Great to work with in tutorials. Has been learning to be more independent in answering questions.
Liam's main gaps were trying to understand some theorems of circle geometry, understanding the concept of auxilliary angles and solving quadratics equations. Liam doesnt have any main problem areas in regards to his effort and attitude which are both improving. He also has a good general understaning of concepts.
