Physics is one of those subjects that easily sparks interest. Students learn about natural laws, how tiny specks behave and how gargantuan planets orbit light-years away. Because of its many applications science has become one of the most exciting fields of the future. From theory to application, there's a lot to wrap your head around. As you move up the curriculum the content does become highly technical.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Ewen's learning strategies are improving, but we're still getting there. He's turned over a leaf since starting at Arden, but some of those important learning foundations are still being built and ideally we want to get them up to scratch before things build up too much. I think the most important thing to remember for Ewen is practice. Moving away from rote learning and thinking critically will be important over the coming months.
Her is very enthusiastic in her learning and is keen to ask questions. Freyja is able to complete required work and is keen to learn new concepts. she is organised, she always have all the materials ready before each session, such as textbooks, work books and calculator.
Seeking understanding, backchecking, note-taking need work. Being aware of basic grammatical errors (which are easily corrected) is one of Peihua's biggest problem areas. Should he fix this, he will save a lot of time on backchecking whilst writing his essays. Being able to clearly articulate his ideas is also another problem area for the student. He often writes in a convoluted manner, rather than outline his argument clearly. This also needs work for the years ahead.
Claire found Samir to be a great tutor - very knowledgeable, encouraging and helpful :-)
Tuition sessions are going on really well as my son has had considerable improvements in Maths with better grades ( jumped from C to A) and much better conceptual understanding of several difficult topics. He finds Ben a gentle and consistent tutor who has kept a wonderful rapport with him. They have also covered some topics in English which helped quite a bit. I would certainly recommend Benjamin as a very helpful and effective tutor for teenagers.
Jenny is an excellent tutor. She was incredibly patient with Zoe and a really good teacher. Zoe was really happy and confident working with her and felt safe to ask questions and sometimes because of her illness she could not really concentrate but Jenny stayed patient and really worked well with her. I highly recommend Jenny.
