Even if they've started out well, tackled science in lower grades with a good attitude, even if they've made a switch to Year 11 Chemistry easily, more often than not students hit a wall when it comes to Year 12 chemistry. This is when they need all the support they can get.

Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Deana could improve her formatting skills for her working out, which will benefit her in the coming years. She often talks aloud when working and back checks and makes corrections if necessary. Improving her formatting will help her with further back checking.
Phoebe has a very positive attitude towards maths. Phoebe puts a lot of effort into her maths, which is really good to see. Phoebe always brings her books to sessions and completes homework.
he is not a lazy thinker but he is very careless in his calculations especially when it comes to the positive and negative signs for numbers. so, i'm making sure that he continuously applies back checking and constantly remind him to be careful with his calculations. currently, the only problem he has is very fundamental calculation which goes back to his previous years. so, i'm constantly attacking those weaknesses by incorporating those fundamental areas into his current load.

We have only had a couple of tutoring sessions so far but it has been a very short term, however the couple of sessions that we have had with Jonathan have been very good so we are very happy. We look forward to next term and Mia getting the assistance that she needs with her maths. Jonathan explains things well and is very kind and patient. So far, all good.
