Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Belfield biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Belfield, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Renee showed no trouble in talking about what she was struggling with. Already in the habit of wanting to understand the question fully and had good formatting skills which was good to see. Sometimes struggled with transferring skills over from question to question and talking herself through the question but can see she is trying to improve those areas.
Kristen's attitude is positive and she applies herself during lessons. I would like to discuss with her study plan with her to see if it can be improved, but i am more than happy with her work habits at the moment.
Initial problem areas included a lack of great understanding in algebra and integers. However, after introducing methods to solve such problems, Ghazal has utilised various techniques to work on and improve her understanding of these areas. Through this, the gaps have been greatly improved - although work is still required to ensure her continued success.
Thank you for your email. I am really enjoying working with David, he makes the study fun and very interesting. We're working through some gaps in my knowledge and then I am greatly looking forward to getting into the much more complicated and exciting math.
Bella thinks that Benjamin is very nice and is helping her a lot so that's great.
Thank you for your note. We've really enjoyed Dan - very diligent and patient as he works Jack through some very tricky concepts. All going well at this end.
