What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love the process of following a student's train of thought and suddenly a light bulb click and there is an "Aha" moment, a moment of understanding. I love being able to build these connections in the mind and having control of it as a tutor makes me feel magical. I love strengthening these loops through revision and asking questions.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My questioning mindset gives space to the student to ask questions and my encouragement allows for curiosity allowing me to learn in the process as well. My energy and consistency throughout tutoring sessions makes me powerful as a tutor and definitely someone who can make a change.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing that a tutor must do is form a genuine connection with the student based on trust and integrity. This can be achieved through humour, motivation and sharing likes/dislikes. This allows for long-term teaching because of a comfortable environment allowing the student to perform to the best of their ability.

About Adeena
My academic journey
I am currently going to pursue a bachelor in medical science at Macquarie University. My interest developed in biological and health sciences when I became state team finalist in the NSW brain bee competition where I learnt about neuroscience and human body movement. I further came first in year 10 biology, and then undertook science subjects in my HSC.
My tutoring journey
With my school journey, I have been private tutoring for more than 4 years. I am a long-term tutor so I have been teaching my first students from primary school to high school. My HSC student has graduated with a pleasing performance in maths standard and my current HSC student is learning biology. I am also hired at alchemy tuition but it is a new start, I hope to expand my skills and draw connections in young minds, because teaching has the power to change the world.
My interests
I love softball and netball as well as going to the gym. I am also painting on canvases and cooking sometimes when I have free time. I love my pet cat whose name is Rose and she is 6 weeks old.
