No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Belgian Gardens chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Belgian Gardens, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Georgia is able to use pen and paper to show working-out in her work, which demonstrates her understanding in maths. Throughout this process, she is able to analyse her approach in solving the maths problems and identify which step is wrong if her final answer is incorrect. Most importantly, she understands that it is 'ok to be wrong' and hence is confident that she will be able to work out the correct answer.
Sara will always ask for clarification on something if it still doesn't make sense.Sara always gets the questions assigned done and will ask for clarification on the questions she does not understand.
Main problems areas are worded questions and testing as the client was not overly impressed with NAPLAN results and was generally surprised. Becoming quicker with simple arithmetic is also a skill I am working on with him.
All is progressing fine at present and we are happy with Raymond's tutoring. Patrick has warmed to him also and we see him asking a lot more questions than he would ask normally.
We are very happy with Phanidah, he is very nice and patient and seems to teach Emily effectively. Emily likes him and already seems to have a more positive outlook with her maths. We are happy overall that the one-on-one tutoring allows Emily to relax about 'not knowing it' so she can truly go back to basics with Phanidah and build slowly from there.
Ashleigh is really enjoying the help Sunny is giving her & is starting to feel more confident within herself. Apparently even her teacher has remarked on her improvement. Ashleigh is keen to continue tutoring for the rest of the year. Sunny is a great tutor & matched perfectly with Ashleigh.
