With each chemistry lesson, there's more and more information. After a while, it gets harder and harder to pinpoint how it's all connected. No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Mysterton chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Mysterton, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I have noticed an increase in Coopers confidence with his general maths skills since the first lesson. However, some strategies that I think will help him, is to write down his ideas rather than trying to solve the problems in his head.
Liam's attitude has been satisfactory. He comes across as a polite and well organised student. Liam's effort has been consistent each week during tutorials. His knowledge of the novel "The Hobbit" is outstanding and he is able to compare and contrast the text and the movies. He presents as motivated and wanting to achieve better results in school. Liam seems to apply himself consistently in English. He will ideally be more perseverant when challenged and confused in maths.
Subtraction in general, but borrowing from tens column in particular. Understanding the concepts of fractions more complicated than 1/2 (e.g. 1/4). Understanding place value. Breaking down 3 digit numbers into components (e.g. 564 500 + 60 + 4) As stated in gaps

Miki has been seeing Sachin for over a year. We all think he is brilliant. He is incredibly reliable, highly talented and thoroughly courteous. We could not imagine a better tutor.
As Jessica has her final exams next week we would like to discontinue her maths tutoring. We have been extremely pleased with your service and would recommend you to others.
Miah has done really well in her final maths exam! Her tutoring lessons with Alex are obviously working.
