I think it is very important for a tutor to help his students gain confidence mentally on the subject. it is also equally important to try and develop the fundamentals and concepts in the minds of his students in the best way he can. understanding the perspective of the student properly and help him de-bug his own methods before presenting our…

A tutors role is to provide so much to the student whether it be knowledge itself or confidence in learning. However, I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to create a sense of curiosity for them. It is clear that people learn better when they have the desire to, so making the content interesting and applicable…

The most important things a tutor can do for a student is to firstly be patient. Increase their confidence in class at school so they don't walk into a classroom dreading not understanding anything the teacher will be talking about. My goal in teaching someone is that they can understand it, and understand how they got to the solution not that they did get to the solution. This I believe makes them a better student as it means…

I believe a good tutor is making the student understand what they are learning but not how to get good result in their exam. Base of my past experience in attending tuition, my tutors tend to explain mathematics theorem in detail so we could understand them better and not only just to memorise when to use the formula. Also I believe practice makes…

I believe that a tutor can bring out a sense of accomplishment and excitement that teachers in large classrooms can't. Tutors can guide students to answers without giving them away for free, and provide one-on-one attention which boosts confidence. I never provide the answer to questions, without first encouraging the students to learn and…

I value instilling confidence in my students. The best way for them to learn is to make mistakes - but they have to the confidence to make those mistakes in the first place. I believe a tutor has to make sure that students fully understand the material they are learning so that they can apply what they learn and ultimately be able to do the more difficult questions by themselves. With constant practice and drilling, students will be more comfortable doing the questions themselves and be confident in the…

In my humble opinion, I do not believe a tutor's role should necessarily be teaching new content, rather clarifying and consolidating knowledge previously learnt in the classroom. In retrospect, the most important thing a tutor can do for their students is to be a source of information that can complement the students' own knowledge, in order for…

Teach in an understandable, motivating, and enjoyable way. Crucial factors for efficient learning (things as relibaility, punctuality and so on) are all obvious and mandatory to me. Finally, every student has his / her own ways of learning / understanding things, and it is clearly the job of the tutor to find out the most efficient one, to let the…
