With each chemistry lesson, there's more and more information. After a while, it gets harder and harder to pinpoint how it's all connected. No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Bronte chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Bronte, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kamron and I have been working on some new learning strategies this month. During out sessions I have encouraged Kamron to explain to me his entire perspective when tackling a question. This has assisted me to work with Kamron to ensure the correct method can be identified from the question. Additionally, we have recently been discussing note taking methods specific to summarises content for SAC's and exams.
Chris is a focused student during our lessons, he does his class assigned maths homework and he practised diligently during exam preparation. Chris clearly wants to succeed and is capable of the effort to do so. Chris does need to improve the organisation of his study habits and class notes. Re-writing his class notes and storing them in an accessible place for easy reference will aid his self-study and maths practice.
The main area that we will focus on before school re-starts is comparative language analysis essays. This is essentially comparing the way two different articles tackle the same issue and will help Taksheel going into year 10.
