That's where we come in!
We've found that students who are struggling need someone who will support their progress and make it easier to get the grades. They also need to be motivated and taught how to overcome issues, how to learn from each failure. Tutors we work with know that.
So, this is how it works.
We find local tutors and organise one-on-one physics tutoring in Carlisle, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
You don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Continuous improvement in lateral thinking is reflected particularly when Luke takes on worded and complex problems. Great transfer skills across the board demonstrated when taking on the new topics and different types of questions - shown notably in how quickly Luke picked up on the most recent topic of Trigonometry. Just another reminder for Luke to be mindful when writing out solutions to long problems, he still sometimes skips writing some steps (too smart!).
Bethany works diligently and hard in her sessions, which is great to see, and I can see her enjoying the topic of finance more as she is able to understand the concepts and questions very easily. She completes most of her homework in most if not all the weeks, there was only one week where she only completed parts of the homework. She did very well in her topic test that I gave her to conclude the topic of finance, getting 20/25. The only mistakes she had were in silly mistakes and just little details.
Abigayle's ability to grasp topics and understand methods quickly has lead to a solid understanding of algebra. Getting to see Abigayle tackle algebra to a year 7 standard has been very impressive and I hope she carries this ability through future topics.

We have only had a couple of tutoring sessions so far but it has been a very short term, however the couple of sessions that we have had with Jonathan have been very good so we are very happy. We look forward to next term and Mia getting the assistance that she needs with her maths. Jonathan explains things well and is very kind and patient. So far, all good.
