For most students, biology doesn't seem that hard. The content isn't that intimidating and if you put in the time, more often than not results will follow.
Help them improve their grade so they can reach their goals. I used to be bad at mathematics to begin with so I can predict where a student might have problems and prepare a way to help them beforehand. I am also a people person thus I am quite comfortable interacting in one on one…
The personalisation of learning is the most important thing I consider a biology tutor can do for their student. I believe that teaching is not about pumping a student with exam papers or to make them memorise the answers and get good grades, for my satisfaction. But about really making sure the student understands a concept, so that they have a strong foundation and can apply to it many different question styles. This will actively stimulate creativity and…
The most important thing a biology tutor can do for a student is to inspire their curiosity and desire for learning because it is their desire that will ultimately drive them to succeed. I think my strength as a tutor is my personality. I'm very kind, patient, and funny. I always find a way to make learning more…
I think an essential thing a biology tutor can do for their student is be empathetic! Often, for teachers, its hard to understand what students are feeling, since school and lifestyle has changed from the time they were students to now (in a global pandemic). Therefore, being an tutor who displays empathy about understanding what its like being a…

A tutor should be able to help overcome challenges the student is facing in a manner that is comfortable for the student. The tutoring sessions with Dominic are going very well. He has certainly helped Kailiana to gain confidence and skills in maths, while keeping a calm, friendly, and easy-going mood for the tutoring sessions. As any 8 year old does, Kailiana can get distracted from time to time, but Dominic has always taken this in stride, and been very creative in engaging with Kailiana in order to retain her attention. For example, there was one instance where she jumped up out of nowhere and decided to feed her goldfish in the middle of them trying to solve some questions about volume. Once she got back to the table Dominic asked her about her fish, and then changed the objects in the question they were solving to fish. He effectively got her back on track and engaged her attention in a warm and gentle way. Kailiana looks forward to her tutoring sessions, with is another testament to the good work Dominic has been doing with her.
Our daughter seems to respond well to Adam and even though it's still early days she is much more confident!
We are finding Eloise great. She is very good with Penny and has really listened to where Penny needs help with most and has prepared for her lessons well. We plan on keeping up tutoring as I think it's making a big difference with Penny's confidence at school. She has gone from below the expected level in term 1 report to at the the expected level for her end of year report.
Biology tutoring in Chandlers Hill
For most students, biology doesn't seem that hard. The content isn't that intimidating and if you put in the time, more often than not results will follow.
No wonder most students get discouraged once they move up the curriculum. Getting the results becomes less about putting in the hours by going over the concepts and more about structuring the knowledge and connecting the dots. It's not simple revision anymore, and without someone to guide them, students can easily lose focus.
If you are thinking about finding someone to support your child's learning, we can match you with a local biology tutor in Chandlers Hill.
We've found that through guided learning, students are more likely to pick up skills they can use to learn other subjects and even make good decisions in their personal life as well. All we need is to have a chat with you so we can figure out what kind of support your child needs.
And this is how it works.
The tutoring is done at your home or a local library, wherever works for you. And the fees are simple - just an hourly rate, no extra fees.
The first lesson comes as a risk-free trial with a money-back guarantee. That means if for whatever reason your child doesn't click with the tutor right away, no need to worry - you let us know and we set up another trial.
As simple as that.
