What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love helping students build confidence in the subjects they struggle with. It brings me great joy to watch them go from struggling to truly understanding a concept. It is hard as not everyone has the same study habits, same learning style; therefore, it is very important to build their confidence based on a study guide that truly helps them.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I was once a student who struggled with my subjects and also received extensive tutoring throughout my final years. Therefore, I am adaptable to each student's different learning styles, as I know how uncomfortable I felt when the material I was provided to study with was not efficient for my own learning style.
I am patient, a good listener, and organised, providing resources and materials to help students feel supported and focused.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Build their confidence in not only their studies but also themselves. This includes comfortability. Students should feel confident in asking questions if they are unsure, requesting clarification of complex ideas, and acknowledging that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process. Additionally, develop critical thinking skills and create a study habit that is fit for the individual.
