No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Chapel Hill chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Chapel Hill, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I believe he is learning to speak aloud when working through questions which can aid when solving questions. He is being reminded to format correctly (i.e. add units to the end of answers) which will reduce the chance of lost marks in test situations. He is also being encouraged to write tings down as opposed to doing things in his head, as this will help him to limit his mistakes and also help him to follow his working procedure.
His attitude towards his work is 100%. Very well focused when he sits down to study and he's very attentive when listening to explanations on questions especially during the longer sessions we had that covered a lot of material.
Working on geometry and trigonometry in preparation for his upcoming topic exam. Needs extra help in trigonometry, especially in utilizing formulas and concepts. Now we have started on differentiation.
Nathan is punctual and enthusiastic. Xanthe likes him and was happy to do homework.
Austin is a positive, helpful young man who was very polite and knew his stuff. I would highly recommend him.
Tutoring is going well and Nick and Charlie are a great match! Nick has already made a great connection with Charlie.
