Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Chifley to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Chifley chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.
Have a question? We are happy to help.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I believe Thomas has to try and avoid lazy thinking. If he can just put in a bit more thought into his working out processes, he has the potential to do much better. He seems to understand the concepts quite quickly however, putting them into practice seems to be difficult to him. More practice would bring Thomas to do much better for his next exam, however would be even better if he tries to have more thought while working out mathematical problems.
Bonnie is already showing some improvements (and can answer questions really well when she puts the effort in!) but she mostly requires an attitude that allows her to listen really effectively (without interrupting or moving around- she needs to sit still) and really process what I tell her. Hearing and listening are NOT the same, hearing is a physiological function while listening is a psychological function - Bonnie needs to listen and apply and from there, her discipline and concentration will improve.
Still could do with some more revision on multiplying and dividing fractions, some visual representations of this could help her I think. Lily just often forgets important concepts about fractions when we revisit them for use in other areas of Maths such as Area & Volume.
Shruti is an amazing friend and a tutor. She loves to work with you and always has a smile on her face. She will always help you achieve your academic goals and will not leave your side no matter what.
Deepti has been tutoring my daughter for 1 year now. I am so happy with the difference it has made to my daughters understanding of a subject that she was very behind in and I was very concerned.
Shruti helped me so much in my yr 12 studies as a school friend. She is extremely intelligent and has a lot of patience. Shruti gave me the skills and confidence in my learning and allowed me to succeed in yr 12. Shruti is like a big sister to me, I highly recommend everyone to choose her as a tutor.
