The best thing teachers can do if their students are struggling is approach their learning in a personalized way, really getting to know their habits and specific challenges they face. There's nothing like having that one person who knows your study habits inside out, especially when it comes to science. Unfortunately, in classrooms, that's not always possible.
Many parents find that tutoring helps bridge the gap, but locating a reliable chemistry tutor in Deakin isn't as easy as it sounds.
That's where we can help, that's what we do best.
You choose the time, what you want the tutor to work on and how often they should come. If you are not sure what your child needs, we will figure it out for you.
Once we have a chat we will match you with a local Deakin chemistry tutor and set up the first lesson.
And what if something doesn't seem right, you just don't like the first lesson? No worries, we won't charge you! Instead, we'll look for someone who's a better match.
As simple as that!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Charley is applying learning strategies well when I am working with her. The key thing now is to make sure she continues to use them in class. Especially making sure she has a go at harder questions and then asks the teacher for help.
Nicole has a great attitude towards learning. She is always eager to refine and improve her writing. She puts in a lot of effort and energy into each lesson and is always willing to participate. Her work habits are good and we are always able to get a lot done in every lesson.
The biggest problem he has right now is rushing through questions. Particularly for arithmetic like long multiplication, he does them faster than I can keep up with, but makes mistakes too often. In our last lesson, I placed a greater than usual emphasis on just taking things maybe 20% slower, which results in greatly improved accuracy, and I will carry this emphasis on a balance between speed and accuracy into the future
Karina is lovely and I think she will work out just fine. Amelia is very happy with her and they seem to be getting along fine. I hadnt realised Amelia was so far behind, and am actually glad she asked me to find help.
We are really happy with Hayoli as a tutor. I don't like to compare but she is 100% better at explaining things than the last tutor. The difference is quite amazing actually. She is very efficient, just comes straight in and gets straight to work. No chit chat at all (which I don't mind). She actually brings in resources that she thinks will help Amy and seems like she has a plan, rather than just turning up with nothing prepared. I can highly recommend Hayoli. Thankyou for finding Hayoli for us. She is amazing,
Thank you for the email. I just want to tell you how happy we are with Lisa. Because of that two hour block right before his math half year exam, his grade has already improved. I am ver impressed with Lisa professionalism and her preparedness. Andrew enjoys math tutoring with Lisa.
