Understanding the scientific method isn't a small task. All of these demands in a short period of time and with exams coming closer and closer, no wonder students shy away from science subjects. The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Uses summary pages/index cards when studying, which is good :) We've also seen a lot of improvement with her confidence in doing Math problems :) One strategy tto still improve on though is to start doing backchecking or double checking of her solution and answers to all problems
Hazel is a very enthusiastic student and I love working with her! She takes on any task I give her with a keen attitude! However, one thing of concern is that Hazel needs to try and be more organised with her work so as to not lose things, since in the long run, this may adversely affect her work.
Miranda's problem areas and gaps are in recalling past mathematical skills and rules. And since Math is cumulative subject, she has to frequently revisit & review basic skills from this year and even past years, such as converting percentages to fractions and decimals, working with fractions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division), division or multiplication by ten and powers of ten, and some basic operations with indices.

Kaitlyn and Jet have had a wonderful start to the term. Judging by the two lessons his had she has managed to make a world of difference already. Kaitlyn has a wonderful personality and has so much patience. I have nothing but praise for her.
Yes I have spoken with Chirag this afternoon. He seems really lovely, confident, competent and friendly and I think someone like this is going to be ideal for our Pops.
Zane is finally grasping concepts that he always found confusing in class. Alan has been very patient with Zane, as there is quite a bit of work to do. Zane would not have received this personal time in class, due to time, disruptions etc.. Thank goodness we are starting now before NAPLAN in 2 weeks and highschool in 2019.
