The best thing teachers can do if their students are struggling is approach their learning in a personalized way, really getting to know their habits and specific challenges they face. There's nothing like having that one person who knows your study habits inside out, especially when it comes to science. Unfortunately, in classrooms, that's not always possible.
Many parents find that tutoring helps bridge the gap, but locating a reliable chemistry tutor in Jimboomba isn't as easy as it sounds.
That's where we can help, that's what we do best.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
First lesson Adriano was lacking in usage of learning strategies such as pen to paper and talking aloud. Most of his working out was done mentally which gave a little difficulty in communicating to me what he understands and what he doesn't. His note taking is satisfactory since it's already a habit from school. Adriano also seems to be okay with making mistakes when told to attempt questions, but seems a little hesitant attempting them in the first place.
Matthew's attitude, effort and work habits are all excellent. He always has homework completed, always attempts questions to the best of his capabilities and writes (semi-legibly) all working in his book.
Jackson's fundamentals and understanding is lacking, which is partially covered up by his classes calculator usage (for symbolic computation, not scientific/arithmetic). We have revisited fractions, and his understanding of algebra will continue to be worked on.

Jonathan and Ellie have started well - she seems to be very happy with the work he's going over and Jonathan has been punctual and engaged in her learning.
Everything seems to be going well so far, Angelina is finally'getting' long division. She is stubborn in finding ways not to rote learn her times tables, however! Shahzad is very patient with her. We are finding the experience a very positive one.
Jordan seems to be doing a great job with Ruby after 2 lessons. I am happy for him to continue and hope that Ruby continues to improve.
