Chemistry Tutor Brassall, QLD
I believe that the most important thing a chemistry tutor can do for a student is to relieve stress and to confirm to the student that their understanding of concepts is correct. By this i mean in my personal experience a lot of what i needed from my own tutors was for them to confirm that what i thought was correct was or not. I believe my…

Local Reviews

Mayank has been a great tutor and has given me great confidence in my own abilities. He has been patient with me and clearly explained concepts that I had either forgotten or previously struggled with. I'm more than happy to give a positive review to Mayank for his help. If at any time I feel like I'm struggling or need help, I wouldn't hesitate to get back in touch and ask for Mayank personally. Thanks to his tutoring, I feel like I have a good foundation going into the prep course, which makes me feel really positive about taking the next step.

Inside KholoTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Cale focused on editing and drafting his English speech, as well as revising key Maths topics in preparation for upcoming tests.

For Year 9, Emily worked through linear equations using graphing techniques and practiced interpreting box-and-whisker plots from her recent lessons.

Meanwhile, Year 6 student Jack strengthened his understanding of times tables with strategies for higher numbers and practiced operations involving decimals, percentages, and fractions to build confidence.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student lost a major Maths assignment due to not backing up his work properly, which had a significant impact on his grade; as noted, "he lost his math assignment which very badly affected his grade."

Meanwhile, in Year 11 English, drifting off-topic during speeches led to missing key points and losing focus by the end of drafts.

One primary student struggled to recall maths strategies unless prompted—"she didn't remember much from the previous lesson immediately"—and often made small calculation errors that only became obvious afterwards.

In a senior Maths session, failing to write summary notes after class meant gaps in revision built up quietly over weeks.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Kholo noticed a real shift in initiative from a Year 10 student who began researching assessment topics independently before sessions—something he hadn't attempted previously.

Another high schooler, Emily, overcame her earlier struggles with algebra by tackling linear equations more quickly and now double-checks her work for errors without prompting.

In a recent primary session, Trinity needed some reminders to recall fraction strategies but then handled division of fractions on her own, even remembering approaches from previous weeks.

Most recently, Emily completed a full interest worksheet correctly after having difficulty recalling key steps last term.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Ipswich Libraries—or at your child's school (with permission), like Mount Crosby State School.
