No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Chuwar chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Chuwar, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Victoria is very comfortable talking aloud and voicing her thoughts about texts in English and about questions in Maths. Her use of pen and paper is very effective and her thoughts are recorded in the form of working out. Victoria is very able to back-check her notes and evaluate her work. By continuing the use of these three strategies, Victoria will continue to succeed in her studies.
Max has come with a positive attitude to all sessions. He has persevered when he has found things challenging and has always completed his homework. It's been pleasing to see that he has continued to work on improving his critical thinking skills and his ability to recall formulas (e.g. area of different 2D shapes).
We still have a bit of work to do on trig and coordinate geometry, particularly the harder questions. However, Joseph is improving on his consistency, but he needs to improve in apply concepts to harder questions
I believe Paige is beginning to ask Jake more questions. I have advised her if she is still unsure of something she should ask for Jake to explain it again or in a different way. I feel she is starting to have more faith and she has advised me she is understanding some concepts a bit more clearly.
I see how much more confident Nicholas is with maths, the teachers at school have noticed a difference, and he is eager to do maths now as where before he wasn't. In regards to Wade, well he is just gorgeous. He has built up a great relationship with Nicholas, and he actually waits for Wade each week.. Wade makes it fun, for Nicholas to do maths. Nicholas told me last week, s" when i get a question wrong, Wade makes me remember how to do it with a trick." I think Wade explains it to him in a way that he understands it. I think Wade is fantastic at what he does and you can tell he loves his maths. cheers.
Thanks for this. The first tutorial seemed to go very well. Jet was certainly very positive about Josh!
