Support them and ensure they are provided with the tools for success and by the end of the session are able to navigate their way to the appropriate solution through the implementation of thought techniques. I have over 3 years of experience tutoring in person and online as well as working with students of various ages and learning needs including…
One of the most important things is to ensure that a tutor is able to make the student comfortable during the lesson. Working in a suitable environment allows the student to perform at a higher performance. This includes bonding with the student and encouraging them whenever possible, providing positive reinforcement. Another important thing is…
The most important thing is to help the student understand the work better so they feel confident and are better off for it. I think it’s also important to invoke a love for maths or any subject to inspire students to continue learning and a passion for it. My strength is I am very patient and willing to try different methods to find a way that…
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to bring in a positive connection between the student and the subject so that learning happens naturally along with concept realization rather than focusing on memorization. 1.Good Listener

4.Mentoring peers and team.
5.Coherency in the lessons…
I think that the most important things that a tutor can do for a student would be to inspire them to love the subjects that they take and study, to be able to inspire them to do their work and really work at it in their own time, such that the tutoring isn't a dependency but a supplement to their success. Once that's achieved, it becomes much…
Tutor should be a good friend to the student as the student shares his difficulties freely only when a trust bond is formed. Tutor should notice the behavioral pattern and learning curve of the student for providing better help and support to the student. A tutor should always encourage students and should be supportive even if the student is not…
I think the most important thing a tutor has to address when teaching a student is identifying where they need to improve and exercising that weakness. That way, the students are able to get a good grasp of the area they struggle with and they can seek further help or work on it for future. I am good at explaining mathematical concepts to the…
Apart from the obvious requirements to provide sound academic knowledge and advice, the other aspect of tutoring that I consider most important is getting the student excited about learning. The best teachers have a successful balance of both aspects. When a tutor is excited about the content, that will get the student excited as well. An…
The most important thing you can you as a tutor for a student is guidance and patience. You have to consider that every child is unique and has also their own strengths and weaknesses. Believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is connect with the student and understand how the student learns and tailor their tutoring according to that style. I also believe it's very important for tutors to be patient and considerate when students are learning. I believe that I can teach in a fun, enjoyable and visual manner…
Be calm and listen to the student. Rushing through a class will simply not help them. Listen to their worries and look at their body language to see if they are not communicating with you. Most kids, especially over Zoom, do not like to engage with the teacher and answer a simple yes. As a Tutor, I think it is of the utmost importance to be in…

I recently graduated from Brisbane Girls Grammar School with an ATAR of 99.70. I consider myself a friendly and approachable person to all ages. I am a creative thinker and problem…
Be patient and actually encourage them to study and work hard. I like to start each session by actually asking them about their goals and if they have a set goal motivate them to pursue it. Explain it to them grades are important and make a big difference. Also, always let them know ask any single thing they want. The more questions the more they…
I think the most important thing that a tutor can do is be supportive. Students are already frustrated when they do not understand something, hence we do not need to add to that by being frustrated at them. In addition, a tutor needs to be flexible. This allows one to better tailor the program to the student's needs and the student's strengths. I…
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to inspire a love of learning. As someone who only recently left highschool, I know from experience that sometimes the tedious nature of school can make learning and education seem futile and almost torturous when you don't understand the material being taught. I think that as a…
The most important thing a tutor can do for their student is to instil confidence. A tutor should promote a genuine interest in a subject, ultimately empowering students to become independent and effective learners. They can do this by promoting critical thinking and providing constructive feedback. Given my experience with tutoring, I believe my…

A tutor should be able to understand the problem faced by the student and should also correct it in a way so that the student does not repeat the same mistake as well as learns from the mistake. I am very patient and I know how to make a student understand the…
A tutor can offer support in anyway possible. It may be a visual diagram/highlighting technique/mind map structure/post-it notes etc. As a tutor, I am patient. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is be a guide and source of knowledge/experience for them to develop their own confidence in the subjects. Teach obviously! but i think if the tutor can make the lessons as fun as possible so that the student looks forward to them as something enjoyable rather than as purely work, the best results will occur. I am an excellent communicator and can teach via example quite effectively in almost any subject. I am easily able to match my communication…
To be able to pass down knowledge and wisdom to the student and for them to have a good foundation in all the subjects as well as enjoy learning as much as I do. My teaching style is personalised and relaxed. I believe in a positive learning environment and every student is unique and therefore I will tailor my teaching methods to suit each…
James has got off to a good start-in his first test this week, he got 91% in his specialist exam. Matthew is able to work through all the challenging questions with James and ensure that he understands the theory behind the maths. I definitely feel that James has commenced Semester 2 with a more positive approach to Specialist Maths and I look forward to seeing improved results.
We are more than pleased with Kai's maths progress. I can tell that Ben is such a good tutor because he had described Kai exactly in his report. All Kai's school teachers throughout his school years have wanted Kai to speak up in class. Kai isn't shy when he's relaxed and comfortable, it's just in those environments I guess he's quieter. I hope he gets the confidence to speak up soon and I think with Ben he will and I am looking forward to the tips he can give to Kai.
Really happy with the tutoring and Stephen is great, really professional. My son is feeling a lot more positive about catching up so really happy.
Biology tutoring in Kirribilli
For most students, biology doesn't seem that hard. The content isn't that intimidating and if you put in the time, more often than not results will follow.
No wonder most students get discouraged once they move up the curriculum. Getting the results becomes less about putting in the hours by going over the concepts and more about structuring the knowledge and connecting the dots. It's not simple revision anymore, and without someone to guide them, students can easily lose focus.
If you are thinking about finding someone to support your child's learning, we can match you with a local biology tutor in Kirribilli.
We've found that through guided learning, students are more likely to pick up skills they can use to learn other subjects and even make good decisions in their personal life as well. All we need is to have a chat with you so we can figure out what kind of support your child needs.
And this is how it works.
The tutoring is done at your home or a local library, wherever works for you. And the fees are simple - just an hourly rate, no extra fees.
The first lesson comes as a risk-free trial with a money-back guarantee. That means if for whatever reason your child doesn't click with the tutor right away, no need to worry - you let us know and we set up another trial.
As simple as that.
