Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student was observed repeatedly erasing answers during maths problem-solving, which caused an inability to build progress in investigation for the correct answer. This habit disrupted the learning flow and left gaps in working out.

In Year 10, one student resisted trying new revision techniques suggested by their tutor, sticking only to familiar methods—this limited exposure to alternative approaches that could fill knowledge gaps before exams.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner displayed low confidence when reading aloud, with nervous fidgeting affecting public speaking tasks; their focus drifted during spelling practice, making it harder to engage fully with feedback and improve fluency.

Recent Achievements

One Leederville tutor noticed a big shift in a Year 10 student who used to freeze up on trigonometry questions—now, after extra practice, she confidently works through exam problems and allocates her own revision time.

In a recent high school maths session, Lewis, who previously struggled with polynomial long division, was able to complete the process accurately and even identified the correct initial factor for a cubic equation without prompting.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 student who would often hesitate before asking for help now raises their hand straight away whenever they're unsure about solving two-way tables.
