Maybe looking for a maths tutor? Maths unfortunately has a reputation for difficulty and for not being useful in "real life". This is so much so the case that there is now a national program in Australia called "Choose Maths" to help encourage our young people to treat their maths studies seriously. However, in an increasingly technological world logical thinking is becoming increasingly valued. While your teenager may be complaining that they will "never use algebra in real life", the truth is that the logical thinking and problem solving skills developed through mathematics are extremely useful. Software development, engineering, artificial intelligence, genetics, data analytics, finance, insurance ... the list can go on and on. The future requires logical thinking and the only way to develop those skills is mathematics.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
This month, David and I finished s big unit we worked on all term: Year 8 Percentages. David demonstrated excellent understanding of the topic, and at its conclusion got nearly all the answers correct in a tough non-calculator 12-question summative test. Throughout he showed good format, pen to paper, self questioning and talking aloud skills. In particular David was exemplary in asking some key and tough questions, showing great mathematical thinking.
MJ has a positive attitude going into each lesson and is willing to learn. He puts in the effort but needs to do more of his homework if he wants to improve otherwise, his level of maths will only stay at a basic level
One of the thing that Annabelle would benefit is to keep all her work she has done in order so that she is able to go back to her past work if she has forgotten to do something and it would be great for revision.

We are incredibly impressed with our tutor, Serena. She is a gifted and most dedicated teacher. Her ability to extend our daughter has been remarkable and we are thrilled to have her continue with Miki. Thanks for a wonderful program.
Thankyou to Ezymath tutoring for building up the confidence my daughter needed in preparation for high school this year. During year 7 she was falling behind and her self confidence was waning, causing her to panic about high school but in the few short months she received one on one tutoring at home, her confidence grew and she learnt how to tackle new problems and ask for extra help when needed. Having the extra help, in the comfort of our own home was a winning combination. She is now more confident about what this year holds for her and is looking forward to new challenges, knowing she is better equipped to handle them. If needed down the track, we won't hesitate to start up more tutoring sessions again.
I found Ezy Math's tutoring excellent. I would highly recommend it. They managed to find a tutor whose teaching style was perfect for my daughter. They related to each other and my daughter's ability in maths increased exponentially. I was very happy with them.
