The value in a one-on-one private English tutor is that they can focus entirely on your child and organise lessons around their specific goals and challenges. With the right support mechanisms every student can succeed. And ... that success is often life-changing for students, it serves as undeniable proof that if they apply themselves they can achieve success where they previously failed. It's just about the best lesson a young person can learn.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Claire has a low confidence which is understandable as she has been struggling. I am currently working on this by pointing out when she has completed a problem without assistance and complimenting her on doing things correctly. As her confidence increases so should her marks. She is often more capable than she thinks and just attempting more questions should see a positive result. Claire gets questions correct more often if she writes them down and she has been improving at doing this.
Amelia has mostly been good with doing her homework, although there were a few occasions where she hadn't done the assigned worksheets- mostly when the questions were a bit more challenging or didn't have enough time. I think if she gives these questions more of a go on her own, she will see a vast improvement in her understanding of key topics.
Josh's progress was pretty stagnant in August. He is still struggling with learning X7 times table - not sure if he has stopped practicing times table at home. He was very good with the rest of the times table. All he needs to practice now is X7 and X9 times table.

Just wanted to let you know that Mark seems like a good match for Nik. He really likes him and had a really successful first session. Thanks for your support and assistance in finding him!
Bre says she is happy with Ameya. He explains things well and ensures she understands things before moving on. Only week 3 but all good so far.
Hayden is starting to feel more confident with his maths, so we think 10 weeks more tutoring should cover all bases for now, and a few weeks towards the end of the school before the final exams should do wonders for his results. Thankyou.....
